APNIC will deliver a Basic BGP workshop in-conjunction with PhNOG.
This will be a beginners’ class about the essentials of running a border gateway protocol (BGP) overlay on top of a network. The workshop will tackle both the technical and financial issues, if ever a network wants to operate a BGP-speaking router in order to advertise their own internet protocol (IP) address on the internet.
Visit the registration page for details – https://www.eventbrite.com/e/basic-bgp-workshop-tickets-40132338906
The workshop invites network enthusiasts with “NO BGP experience” to attend.
Participants are advised to bring their own laptop computers with high-speed Wi-Fi (802.11a/g/n/ac) and administrative access to system. It is also recommended that laptops have Intel i5 or i7 processor, >=8GB of RAM and 30GB of free hard disk space.
