Security is an important factor to consider in implementing an IP network. While most of us have sufficient experience dealing with security in an IPv4 network, this is not always true with IPv6. In this course we will introduce the security weaknesses of IPv6 protocol. We will also explore possible attacks and threats that can be implemented against an insecure IPv6 network and suggest ways to improve the security of your IPv6 deployment.

This course is targeted towards engineers and network operators who are involved in the deployment, maintenance, and security of their IPv6 infrastructure.
Participants must have working knowledge of network operations and some basic understanding of IPv6 protocol and features. Without the previous requirement, participants must attend the “Intro to IPv6” course prior to enrolling in this course.
