Synopsis

The DNS (or the Domain Name System) is a distributed, hierarchical system for mapping domain names to IP addresses. As it plays a critical role in the functioning of the Internet infrastructure, the DNS is often the target of malicious activities.

This course will outline the vulnerabilities of the DNS protocol, as well as introducing ways of protecting DNS queries and the integrity of data.

Target audience

This course is aimed at systems administrators and those involved in DNS operations.

Prerequisites

Knowledge of DNS operations is required. It is recommended that the participants atttend the eDNS01 and eDNS02 courses prior to attending this course.
