IPv6 Talk for Youth Congress in Information Technology (Y4IT) in the Philippines

APNIC Training recently participated in this youth IT event, with trainer Sheryl Hermoso presenting on IPv6 on the first day of the three-day event. Organized by the UP SITF, Y4IT is an annual event that gathers together thousands of college students and educators from all over the country. Sheryl's 30-minute presentation was well received by the 8,000 participants that attended.

Routing Workshop in the Philippines


As part of the Y4IT Congress, APNIC Training also conducted a Routing I Workshop. The workshop was attended by 22 engineers from the ISPs, satellite providers, and enterprise and IT staff from UP campuses. By the end of the workshop, they could configure OSPF and BGP routing protocols in an ISP network, and are looking forward to advanced routing workshop offerings in the near future.

Network Security Workshop in Mongolia

Mobicom and Mobinet once again teamed up with the APNIC Training team to conduct a Network Security workshop in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. Despite some minor delays to the start of the workshop due to weather issues, the three-day workshop was a success with 38 systems and network engineers participating from all over Ulaanbaatar. The event was inaugurated by Mobinet/Mobicom CEO Mr. Enkhsaikhan.
