Synopsis:

The APNIC Whois Database is a repository that contains information regarding Internet Resources in the Asia Pacific. Users querying the APNIC Whois Database can determine who is responsible for an IP address range or an Autonomous System number etc.

This eLearning course focuses on registering and managing information in the APNIC Whois Database.

Target Audience:

This course is designed for network engineers, systems administrators, and anyone who is involved in managing Internet resources.

Pre-requisites:

Basic understanding of Internet networking and related Internet fundamentals.

  • Whois Database Object types
  • Objects in detail
  • Database Protection using a Maintainer object

Other requirements:

  • Updated web browser with Adobe Flash Player 11 or above
  • Broadband connection running at a minimum of 256kbps or better
  • Headset (to reduce noise)
