Synopsis:

IPv6 deployment is a very important issue in our community. It is a priority for APNIC to dedicate significant resources to help facilitate IPv6 deployment in the Asia Pacific region and provide stakeholders with the necessary information to make this important decision for their organizations.

By focusing on this objective, this eLearning course is aimed at discussing the overview of IPv6 protocol.

Target Audience:

Anyone interested in learning about IPv6.

Pre-requisites:

Must have some previous knowledge of TCP/IP, IP networks, and IPv4.

  • Protocol background
  • Functional improvements
  • IPv6 Addressing Models
  • Protocol Header Comparison
  • Interface ID

Other requirements:

  • Updated web browser with Adobe Flash Player 11 or above
  • Broadband connection running at a minimum of 256kbps or better
  • Headset (to reduce noise)
